Two routes, and they suit different people
Financing partners. We work with several financing partners who deal strictly with homeowners on construction projects like a new roof system. These are set up for exactly this situation, and the application process is built around a project rather than a general purpose loan.
A HELOC through a local bank. We also work with local banks, which gives you a more personal conversation and a different set of options through a home equity line of credit. For homeowners with equity in the house, this is often worth comparing against a project lender before deciding.
Both are legitimate paths. Which is better depends on your equity, your credit, and how you prefer to handle the paperwork, which is why we would rather refer you to our industry partners and let you compare than push one option.
What we are, and what we are not
We are a roofing company, not a lender. We do not set rates, approve applications, or make credit decisions, and we do not earn our living from your financing. What we do is connect you with partners who handle it, so you are not starting from scratch on a search engine the week your roof is leaking.
Terms, rates, and monthly payments come from the lender and depend on your credit profile, the amount financed, and the term you choose. Anyone who quotes you a monthly payment before you have applied is guessing. Ask the lender directly and get the number in writing.
Know the project number first
Financing is easier to think about once you know what you are financing. Most shingle roof replacements we do run $12,000 to $18,000, with attic ventilation or insulation work adding $3,000 to $8,000 when a roof needs it. Our roof replacement cost page breaks down what moves that number.
Get the free estimate first. Then you are applying for a real figure instead of a guess, and you can compare offers against something concrete.
Before you assume you need financing
Two things are worth checking first, because either can change the amount considerably:
- Is this an insurance claim? If wind or hail caused the damage, a covered claim can change your out-of-pocket number substantially. Our storm damage and insurance claims page covers how that works and what documentation matters.
- Does the roof actually need replacing? If the failure is isolated, a repair costs a fraction of a replacement. We quote the repair when the repair is the honest answer. Our repair or replace guide explains how that call gets made.
One thing to watch for
If you are running an insurance claim and financing the balance, be aware that in Indiana it is illegal for a contractor to absorb, cover, or waive your deductible. Any company offering that as a sales incentive is proposing insurance fraud and putting you in it alongside them. It is also a reliable signal about how the rest of the job will be handled, as our guide to choosing a roofer covers.
How to start
Call or text us at (317) 488-8613, or request a free estimate. We will look at the roof, give you a firm written number, and if financing makes sense we will refer you to the partners we work with so you can compare options yourself. No obligation attached to any part of that.
