License
Multi-Family Roofing LLC operates under Indiana license GL2500087.
Indiana handles contractor licensing at the local level rather than through a single statewide roofing license, so what you are verifying is that the company holds the registration required where your work is happening and that the number is current. Take the number above to the city or county your home sits in and confirm it there. That is the right way to check any contractor, including us.
Insurance
We carry insurance through Westfield Insurance, placed by Howard Webb Insurance.
The important part is not that we say so on a web page. Ask us to have a certificate of insurance sent to you directly from the agency, with your name listed as the certificate holder. We will make that call without hesitating, and it takes about five minutes.
Do not accept a photocopied certificate handed to you at a kitchen table from any contractor, ours included. Those are easy to fake and easy to let lapse. A certificate sent straight from the carrier is the only version that proves anything.
TAMKO Certified Contractor
We are a TAMKO Certified Contractor. That status required passing industry exams on proper installation technique, and it is what allows us to offer the TAMKO Shield Enhanced Limited System Warranty rather than only the standard shingle warranty.
Worth being precise about what a manufacturer certification does and does not mean. It does mean the manufacturer has verified insurance, a track record, and demonstrated knowledge of correct installation, and it unlocks warranty coverage a non-certified installer cannot offer on the same product. It does not mean the manufacturer supervises our crews or guarantees our workmanship. That is what our own warranty is for. Our warranty page lays out both in detail.
Who is actually on your roof
Owner Scott Mason is a Purdue trained construction engineer with more than fifteen years in the industry, and he is the person who inspects your roof and writes your estimate. That background is the reason we look at a roof as a system, the decking, the ventilation, the flashing, and the shingles together, rather than as a surface to cover.
It is also why we say no to work outside our lane. We do asphalt shingle roof systems, ventilation, insulation, and gutters. We do not do siding, and we do not do low-slope or metal roofing. A company that claims every trade is usually subcontracting most of them.
Workmanship warranty
We back our installation with a 10 year workmanship warranty on single-family residential homes, and a 3 year workmanship warranty on non-single-family structures including multi-family and commercial work. Full detail is on the warranty page.
Check us the way you would check anyone
We wrote a guide to choosing a roofer in Indianapolis that is deliberately written to be used on any company in this market, including this one. Run us through it. Ask for the license number in writing, the insurance certificate from the carrier, the scope line by line, and both warranty lengths. If a contractor makes any of that difficult, that is your answer.
Our reviews pull live from our Google profile and are not hand-picked, and our gallery is real jobs rather than stock photography.
