The repairs we do most
The majority of shingle roof leaks come from a short list of failure points, and we carry the materials to handle all of them on the truck:
- Missing, cracked, or wind-lifted shingles replaced and sealed
- Step and chimney flashing that has pulled loose or rusted through
- Pipe boots with split rubber collars, one of the most common leak sources in central Indiana
- Nail pops and exposed fasteners that wick water under the shingle
- Valley wear where two slopes drive water into one channel
- Leaks around skylights, vents, and satellite mounts
Emergency roof tarping
Roof tarping is a service we offer by name, because a leak does not wait for a repair schedule. When a limb punches through or shingles blow off ahead of more rain, we secure a properly fastened tarp over the damaged section to stop water from reaching your ceilings, insulation, and wiring. The tarp buys time to plan the permanent repair without paying for water damage restoration on top of it.
We fix roofs, we do not upsell them
Plenty of companies send a salesperson to a leak call and come back with a replacement contract. That is not how we operate. If your roof has years of life left, we repair it and leave. Owner Scott Mason is a Purdue trained construction engineer, and his read on your roof is based on the decking, the shingles, and the flashing, not on a commission. When a roof genuinely is at the end of its life, we say so plainly and explain why, and you can compare the options yourself on our roof replacement page. If the damage came from hail or wind, it may be an insurance matter instead, and our storm damage and insurance claims page covers what that looks like.
Every repair visit includes a whole-system check
While we are up there, we look past the leak. We check the surrounding shingles, the attic ventilation, the insulation under the repair, and whether your gutters are moving water away from the roof edge or backing it up under the shingles. You get photos of anything worth watching, with an honest note on what needs action now, what can wait, and what is fine. Most of the time the answer is: fixed, and you are good.
